This little piece is inspired by ghost stories of the more tragic and sad kind. The ones where the maiden is forever bound to walk the path where she was supposed to meet her love when tragedy struck. There a quite a few of those in Denmark.
It's also inspired by some of the wonderfully ambient music by Adrian von Ziegler, in this case the pieces "Angel of Death": [link] and "Heaven's Touch":[link]
