Chapter 4 - Truth or lie?

‘Greetings dear mother.’ Kaldaka said and curtsied for her mother. ‘My daughter, tell me what has been going on lately.’ Thyra said, and told Kaldaka with a movement of her hand, to sit down. The darkelf girl obeyed. ‘Now, tell me everything..’

‘Markus, meet my mother. Thyra Drachan.’ Kaldaka said. Markus knelt before her. ’Tell me now human. Who were the men that killed my daughter?’ ‘I am not quite sure Mila..’ ‘Oh so you’re not sure!’ Thyra hissed. ‘They were clad in red, Milady.’ She looked at him, suspicion crossing her face. ‘Will you be able to identify them?’ ‘Perhaps I will, Milady..’ he answered calmly. ‘Get up.’ Thyra said.

‘Are you sure it was McMenos, human?’ Thyra said in a hard voice. ‘Yes Milady, I am sure of that.’ Thyra Drachan turned towards McMenos’ Infantry. ‘Are you the men who killed my daughter?’ Their leader looked at Thyra. ‘What do you mean?’ Kaldaka took Markus’ hand and held it tight. ‘This human,’ Thyra said and pointed at Markus, ‘claims that your men killed my daughter about a month ago.’ ‘Dear lady.. My men cannot have killed your daughter. Why should we? We’re living in the same camp as you, working for The Followers Of Zoltana.’

‘Liar!’ Thyra sneered at Markus and hit him. ‘Back off from my daughter..’  Her new patriarch and a warrior put themselves between Kaldaka and Markus. ‘You lied to me, human…’ She looked at her men. ‘Bring him back to Zoltanas.. And you..’ She turned towards Kaldaka. ‘You come too. Now!’ she hissed and grabbed the young darkelfs arm.
